Writing Retreat: Between Ground and Grace

Tea by a fire in the wood stove, walks in the high desert, deep sanctuary in the beauty and presence of Triveni. Time for writing, time for silence, time for sharing… These are healing salves for inner renewal, gathering and opening to resilience, inspiration, imagination.

Our theme for this writing retreat is “Between Ground and Grace” because the Ground is everything—our daily lives, the challenges, limitations, and heartbreaks we face, the uncertainty, our loss and grief, the fear of coming times...as well as how we can align ourselves to the basic sanity that opens the doors to Grace.

Mary Angelon Young is a writer, storyteller, and songkeeper. She has published eleven books on spirituality, biography, and the bhakti/tantric traditions of India as well as more recent forays into historical fiction with a spiritual bent. With a background in transpersonal psychology and Jungian studies, her passion for mythopoetics and wisdom traditions blend well with years of pilgrimage in India and Europe with her teacher, Lee Lozowick, to make her books—and her workshops in North America and Europe—a unique and enriching experience.

Regina Sara Ryan is a retreat director, professional writer and editor. Author of numerous books, including The Woman Awake; Praying Dangerously; and the story of a south Indian saint, Only God: A Biography of Yogi Ramsuratkumar. Regina worked closely with her spiritual teacher, Lee Lozowick, for nearly thirty years, and has written extensively about her life in apprenticeship with him, as well as about her life as a Catholic nun. Regina serves as a writing coach to young and old.
